What: A readalong AND knitalong/crochetalong! We will be reading Whispers of the Deep by @EmmaHammAuthor while we knit--you can read any format of the book, totally up to you. Links to purchase: ebook, paperback, SE hardback (sold out), and audiobook (Coming soon! Date TBA).

When: May 1, 2024 - June 30, 2024

Yarn Info

• The pre-order for the Whispers of the Deep Collection is closed! I will list overflow yarn end of April/early May.
• There are three colourways available: People of the Water (variegated) and it's cooridating semi-tonals Deep Waters (blue-green) and Kelp Fronds (yellow-green), as well as sock sets!
• As we have fingering & DK weight sweaters, fingering weight socks, and a sport weight dress, I've added several yarn base options so you can mix and match as your heart desires:

Book Schedule:

• TBA - Will be broken into four sections/weeks for May, and we *should* have book 2 for June!!!!

Some Rules:

• Using one of my colourways/bases is preferred, but absolutely not required.
• You must make at least one of the patterns listed above.
• Be friendly; no putting down others/body shaming/anything unkind. There is zero tolerance for negativity here. If you have any issues with the book, it is expected that you will 1) protect yourself and use your judgement to decide if you will keep reading or not, 2) not shame others for enjoying something you are not.
• You must start your project on or after May 1st. The goal is to finish by the close of the KAL on June 30th, but you can still join in and are eligible for prizes if you don't finish on time but have participated in our chat. This is a relaxed, fun knitalong 🖤
• Use the hashtag on a grid post to document your project(s)! This is how we will be tracking entries for the prizes. Please tag us in the actual photo too!
